How to use the toolkit

Everything on the site works in the browser, with server requests only when you intentionally analyze a public web page.

Main editor

The editor updates counts as you type. Use the toolbar to paste, upload, print, clean text, proofread, dictate, save snapshots, or open find and replace.

Goals, saved snapshots, autosave history, and activity graphs are stored in your browser using local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Speech features

Proofread uses the browser speech-synthesis engine to read the current text out loud. Talk to Type uses the browser speech-recognition API when your browser supports it and you grant microphone access.

Website page word count

The page analyzer fetches public pages only. Private IP ranges and local hosts are blocked to reduce SSRF abuse. If direct HTTPS fetching is unavailable in PHP, the UI can use a public browser-side proxy fallback.

Privacy defaults

Your draft stays in the browser for all local tools. No account is required, and there is no server-side document storage in this build.
